Description

Position Title : Key Account Manager Salary -17 K. Part II: Position Purpose The purpose of the position is to manage the Key Accounts Customers efficiently in order to maximize on business opportunities and to translate the Department’s Business Plan into a feasible action plan. Part lV: Key Accountabilities / Performance Indicators 1 Sales Strategy 1.1 Provide information to the Sales Manger and assist in the preparation of Sales Strategy by Customer and by SKU for the Key Accounts. Information should include: 1.1.1 Existing Market conditions: Demographics, Economic 1.1.2 Market research and our Sales People input. 1.1.3 Market vs Company’s potential in terms of products 1.1.4 Available resources (human, Capex, and logistics) 1.1.5 Market size, visibility, share and trends. 1.1.6 New markets, areas, products, Government rules and regulations etc. 2 Lead Generation / Qualifying (Key Accounts) Lead Generation 2.1 Continuously stay updated in regards to Market conditions and trends in order to maximize on business opportunities. 2.2 Ongoing liaison with the other department Managers to develop the action plan for generating new business leads. 2.3 Identify and maximize new business opportunities through networking, field visits, trade shows etc. 2.4 Establish customer relationships. 2.5 Analyze prospect customer profile and requirements and determine the business opportunities for Company;s. 2.6 Ensure proper and thorough customer and business analysis before submitting proposal for Sales Manager’s approval and committing to business relationship. 2.7 Assist the Sales Manager in the preparation of Feasibility Studies for Key Accounts related project in the Sales Department. 2.8 Propose resource allocation i.e. Capex and manpower. Qualifying for Key Accounts 2.9 Prepare and conduct foundation presentations for new customers, contract renewals and new product launches etc. 2.10 Prepare monthly sales forecast to enable Supply Chain to plan for production. 2.11 Provide relevant information to concerned departments regarding 2.11.1 New customers 2.11.2 Discounts 2.11.3 Private Label customers 2.11.4 Or any other special customer requirement 3 Develop Business Plan for the Key Accounts Department and constantly analyze the implementation progress. 3.1 Assist Sales Manager in the preparation of the yearly sales budget for department. 3.2 Allocate sales targets for the Key Accounts department as per the pre-approved business plan. 3.3 Suggest pricing levels to Management ensuring the best possible margins for the department. 3.4 Ensure that all pre-approved prices are implemented and followed as per schedule. 3.5 Negotiate LTAs including visibility, product positioning, product listings, credit /delivery terms etc to achieve shelve dominance within the various categories. 3.6 Provide full logistic and market support to the Promotional Plan by negotiating promotions, costing and visibility with the customers. 3.7 Ensure suitable presence of Company’s products in the Key Accounts. 3.8 Coordinate with the Trade Marketing department in the development of the Merchandising Plan.
